GM Fabrics and Accessories can source selected items for customers and can include confirmed out-of-stock items in a future shipment. These terms explain both services.
How a preorder works
- You select an item or show us what you want.
- We search for a suitable option through our suppliers or third-party sellers.
- We share the product information, images and price available to us.
- You review and approve the option before we buy it.
- You pay a 70% deposit and we place the supplier order.
- The remaining 30% is due on delivery.
Imported-item risks
Many sourced items come from China. Product images, descriptions, colours, sizing, materials and quality are supplied by third parties and may not always match the delivered item exactly. There can also be delays, supplier non-performance, substitution, loss or fraud, especially when we are sourcing from a seller or product category we have not used before.
By approving a sourced option, you acknowledge these increased third-party marketplace risks. GM Fabrics and Accessories will act in good faith, use reasonable care when placing the order and share material information available to us, but we cannot guarantee the conduct or performance of an independent seller.
Items already in our shop or sourced from established suppliers generally carry less sourcing uncertainty because they can be inspected or are supplied through an existing relationship.
Backorders for out-of-stock items
You may order an out-of-stock item. If we confirm it as a backorder, we will include it in our next planned shipment, subject to supplier availability. Payment terms will be shown at checkout or confirmed with you before the order is accepted.
A backorder does not guarantee an exact arrival date. Shipment schedules, customs, transport and supplier availability can change. We will provide updates when material information becomes available.
Approval and changes
Please review the item, colour, size, quantity, estimated price and available supplier information carefully before approving a preorder. If a supplier proposes a material change, we will seek your approval before knowingly accepting the changed item.
Cancellations and supplier problems
Once a supplier order has been placed, a preorder or backorder cannot normally be cancelled for a change of mind. If a supplier cannot supply the approved item or a serious problem occurs, we will explain the available options and handle the matter in line with the order circumstances and applicable law.
Non-excludable rights
Nothing in these terms excludes any customer right or business responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Zimbabwean law.
